The bright Red Music festival features an eclectic array of talent from around the UK. All taking place on one stage. Opening the festival will be Teesside madcaps GROWING OLD DISGRACEFULLY, followed by Brothers in Arms singer PHIL CAFFREY. Next up is South Shields singer PATRICK GOSLING with a blend of Indie Rock meets Americana, before the Friday party gets started when the legendary 80’s act FUZZBOX take to the stage…Pink Sunshine anyone? The afternoon solo acts close with an acoustic performance from BRIAN ‘NASHER’ NASH, guitarist from the legendary multi million selling FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD. The evening shennanigans begin with the flamboyantly-shirted 4 piece NARCOTIC HEARTS, before PLUMHALL line up next, a must see live act who recently supported Fairport Convention on their UK tour.
London duo OOBERFUSE light up the evening stage with their uber cool Electronica. The main stage then welcomes one of the most exciting new bands in Newcastle…PARK VIEW, a must see local band. Another local act graces the stage when Northumberland’s SAM SHIELDS rocks up with his sassy blend of Americana. Next up is one of the UK’s finest songwriters, ALISTAIR GRIFFIN. He appeared on BBC’s Fame Academy and has since become one of the country’s most respected songwriters.
The festival closes with the headline act, FARGO RAILROAD CO. With two studio and a live album already in their back catalogue, shows in every part of the UK, two tours abroad, a UK support tour for Hayseed Dixie, and a constant sale of trucker caps and t-shirts, the band deliver a sound harking back to the roots of country rock and blues.

Bright Red support the northern region hospitals, and help patients who are dealing with a wide range of blood cancers. The more common diseases are leukaemias, lymphomas, and myelomas. We also help support patients suffering from myelodysplasia and myeloproliferative diseases.
Hospital’s Bright Red work with include Northern Centre for Cancer Care, North Tyneside Hospital, Wansbeck Hospital, North Tees, The Friarage, Hexham General, North Cumbria, James Cook, and Durham Hospital.
