Kayaking & Canoeing in Newcastle upon Tyne
Join Newcastle Kayak Tours and enjoy a leisurely guided kayak tour of Newcastle, world renowned harbour. See the actual workings of the world’s largest coal export port and the many natural features on display during one of our guided 2-4 hour daytime tours, moonlight tours or skills courses. Newcastle Kayak Tours are relaxing, fun and safe for the whole family, ages from 5 – 80. No experience is required and minimal fitness is necessary. Kayak Northumbria was founded in 2011, they’re a friendly canoe club based in Newcastle upon Tyne made up of young enthusiastic kayakers! They meet regularly, about once a week, either for a training session in a pool, a trip down a river, a surf at the beach or a pint in the pub. Now and again, they travel further afield on weekend trips away, as well as the odd yearly trip abroad. TCWC is a small, very friendly and enthusiastic club that encourages people of all ages and abilities, to take part in paddle sports. They have several family group members; the youngest member aged 7 to our oldest member who is over 80. Newburn Canoe and Kayak Club is for both adults and children. This club is an excellent starting point for beginners. The canoe and kayak club is closed for the winter but will resume during the summer months from April. Dates will be available as soon as possible.
TCWC is a small, very friendly and enthusiastic club that encourages people of all ages and abilities, to take part in paddle sports. They hold indoor sessions at Tynemouth Pool, where beginners learn in a warm safe environment and master the skills and techniques they will require when out on real ‘live’ water. More experienced paddlers practice rescue techniques and perfect their skills.
